Dwarf French marigolds “Bonanza mix”Tagetes patula.
The largest flowers among French marigolds — up to 5—8 cm in diameter!
The mixture includes very bright shades. Blooming is abundant and long-lasting. The bushes are 25—30 cm high, branched and dense. Due to the biological characteristics of the species, the plants repel nematodes, ants, and whiteflies. They are used for the decorative design of orchards, groups with spicy herbs and low-growing vegetable crops, as well as border plants along paths and water bodies. The mixture will serve as a colorful decoration for your balcony. Blooms from June until frosts.
Marigolds are light-loving and heat-loving, do not tolerate frosts, are undemanding to soils, but prefer fertile, light soils.
Sowing for seedlings is carried out in March — early April. Seedlings appear 4—8 days after sowing (at a temperature of +18 °C); the seedlings are pricked out in the phase of the 2nd true leaf. Seedlings are planted in the ground (pH 5.5—6.0) in early June with a distance of 30—35 cm between plants. Sowing in open ground is carried out in May to a depth of 1.5—2 cm.

* Tagetes (marigolds), with proper care, survive the most severe heat. At the same time, watering is required very moderately — the soil must not be waterlogged, as marigolds can be affected by fungal root diseases. And during prolonged dry weather, marigolds are attacked by spider mites and, if not treated, can die.

Bot. syn.: Tagetes corymbosa Sweet, Tagetes remotiflora Kunze.
